Here is a small set of random photos from the past year:
The reason we're here. This was the faculty parade at the fall graduation ceremony.
Brushy Fork runs by a few hundred yards from our house. Qanik loves it, of course.
If you look close, you can see a footbridge that Wendy crosses on her walk to school every morning.
This is the faculty house we are renting. To the right is Brushy Fork, and campus.
Behind us is about 650 acres of woodlands with several miles of walking trails.
Perfect for a white furry dog to collect new species of burrs.
This is also behind our house, and just to the right of the barns is our garden.
Now that it its the end of summer, I've put up 300 ears of corn, 7 gallons of pickles, and 40 jars of tomatoes. And still more to come.
The kitty cats are doing well, Moxie still supervises Wendy's work.
Abby still keeps a distance between herself and Moxie.
There are new plants for us to learn and enjoy...
like the largest flower in North America, the big leaf magnolia.
And you can take the boy out of the country, but you can't make him cook indoors.

We miss you... but glad to see your 'new' digs!
ReplyDeleteOnly picture missing is the still....
Happy to hear from you Bob!
Love,
G & A
In addition to the still... You need to either hand the camera to Wendy every now and then, or at least turn it around! Looks more like Sour n' Sour! (I do know which one is sweet) And save me one can of each! ~Z
ReplyDeleteAwww! Opening this is like opening Christmas presents in August. Thanks for sharing the beautiful photos of your neighborhood, your garden, and your home. And for the photos of the beautiful females of the Warren household. Miss you guys! Thanks for the gift. xoxox Tr
